Le Marche really is full of some most wonderful places to dine. From the simplest of pizzarias, to restaurants which would rival any in the center of London!
You will be able to sample home-cooked local produce, lovingly made in the same way for generations. Here in Italy, regional dishes are strictly adhered to and you will be surprised to learn that nearly every town has its own style of pasta.
Delightful dishes such as Vincisgrassi, a wonderful light lasagne made with many many layres, Ascolana olives, stuffed olives filled with a type of minced meat, breadcrumbed and lightly fried and so many more delicacies.

This is one of our personal local favorites. The service is always friendly and prompt and they have a great choice of pizzas for everyone. Their pizza bases are of the traditional Neapolitan style (neither too thick or thin). If you would like to add a topping or have one excluded from your choice, just ask!
Prices start at around €5 and seldom go over €7. They also have a tasty choice of starters. We recommend the Ascolana olives and crostini. Try the steak sizzle platter with the cherry tomatoes and rocket. It smells delicious!
House wine by the litre is very reasonably priced (€3.50)
Children as ever are very welcome.

This wonderful restaurant on a farm near Penna, serves up good local food and plenty of it, in very pleasant surroundings. You certainly won't go hungry! Our favourite time to visit is a sunny Sunday, where your whole lazy day will be consumed by eating & drinking, relaxing & chatting.
On our last visit, despite being so busy, the service was excellent. The staff were so attentive, as our jugs of wine or water were 2/3rds empty, they were immediately refilled. The set menu was great value at €22 -€25 per head. You can choose how many couses you have.
Locally produced traditional food (much of the cheeses & meats produced right there on the farm) were wonderful & the selection of anti pasti will certainly impress. From salamis & fresh cheese platter served with a delicious berry jam, to heartwarming bean soup with chunks of pork fat, pickled vegetables and so much more.
Followed by two pasta courses, of which we enjoyed lemon and ricotta ravioli and a spaghetti with ragu. If you have room, try the delicious, juicy grilled meat platter, served with salad. We managed to squeeze in a wonderful piece of tiramisu, coffee & homemade liqueurs.
Our vegetarian friends were well catered for, despite being a farm, and pasta with a tomato sauce and fresh, light tortillas were specially made for them.

One of our local treasures. A lovely atmospheric restaurant with something for everyone. Whether you want a quick light lunch or a celebratory evening dining experience.
Located right on the high street in Comunanza, this bistro style eatery serves a small but excellent menu of locally produced dishes. Maria, the proprietor and chef sets high standards
both in service and quality of food. She carefully selects her fresh, genuine and local ingredients.
The menu changes regularly and the choices are both delicious and different from most other restaurants in our area. If it is available the freshly made pasta with sausage and fennel is a must.
Main courses start around €8 and they have an extensive wine cellar, which are all D.O.C wines.

A great place to go on a warm summer's night. At Re Artu (or King Arthur) they also have tables in the garden overlooking a pretty little valley.
The restaurant is great for casual dining. Their very reasonably priced pizza menu starts from around €5. The bases are ultra thin and crispy for those who don't like too much bread. Feeling hungry? Try the XXL with any toppings you like for €10.50.
For starters we recommend the thin focaccia with Proscuttio Crudo or cherry tomatoes and parmesan and the crostini or the Ascolana olives. Steaks and other mixed grills are also excellent here as well.
Re Artu also specialize in Funghi Porcini and truffles feature throughout the menu, so if you are a fan, don't miss! House wine is served by the litre for €3.50 Buon Appetito.

Now for something completely different. If you are seafood lovers and fancy something a bit wacky, take a trip to San Benedetto in the harbour (the main fishing part). Its basically a wooden shack and everything is served on plastic plates but the fish is the freshest you will ever get. Straight off the boat and onto your plate.
Everything is sold by weight, from the hot and cold antipasto to the "fritto misto" or fried calamari mix. 250g is around €6 and a glass of chilled passerina €2. Then there are a choice of 3 pasta dishes and many grilled and casseroled fish in various forms.
Sit and watch the marina life on wooden benches along with lots of young folk all having fun. It really is a great relaxing holiday experience. Take a walk just round the corner after lunch along the southern pier and view the amazing sculptures.

A family run agriturismo (farm) 10 minutes from Comunanza which specialises in home-reared lamb and other meats.
The hot starters are interesting and main couse specialities include lentils with sausage, wild boar stews, mixed grills, pasta with truffles and porcini mushrooms. All very much from the mountains!
Menu is priced individually so those with a lighter appetite don't feel obliged to go through the lot. It is all very reasonably priced. The lamb chops and mixed grill were between €7 and €8.
Lovely garden in the summer with a play area for the children too.

If you are in this part of Le Marche, you simply must pay a visit to Mamma Rosa, especially if you love Napolitian style pizza. Marcello has just won the World's Best Pizza Maker Of The Year Award and here it is certainly all about the dough. Fresh and light with simple toppings. The buffalo mozzarella, capers, tomatoes, tuna and rocket is just delicious.
Beautiful garden to dine out in the summer but book in advance as they are busy every day and you don't want to miss out.
Pizzas are around €6 each - there is even a pizza with Vin Cotto (or baked wine) in the dough! There is also a wonderful selection of grilled meats.

We are so glad we stumbled upon this little gem! Very unassuming from the outside, the service is attentive and polite and the menu so reasonably priced. We have tried many of their dishes oer the last year and we have never been disappointed. There is a large truck park right next door, but as this is always full, it is a good sign of quality food at low prices!
The huge "Padella Del Mare" is meant for 2 but would easily serve more and if you are into seafood, then this certainly is one to try. Excellent cold antipasto buffet for starters, followed by delicious pasta, risotto, gnocchi, from only €4. The seafood grill platter is also mouth-watering and there are many varieties of fish and shellfish on the menu.
If you would like to try something unique, try the spaghetti balls deep fried with tuna and tomato sauce. They are only served here and are amazing!

Then follows several pasta dishes, all perfectly cooked. You are often offered seconds as well! For main course, choose from their delicious grilled meats - try the fillet of beef wrapped in panchetta if it is on the menu.
The price includes wine, water and coffee. Friendly staff, beautiful views and good atmosphere.

The Cantina Del Piccio is one of Offida's best kept secrets. We were introduced to their cullinary delights by the Ciu Ciu winery nearby when we were planning a wine tour for our guests. They serve most of Ciu Ciu's organic wines (all of which are excellent).
If you are going for lunch it is best to write the rest of the day off as well as the meal can go on until after 5pm.
Their selection of antipasto is excellent & demonstrates itself to be a tasting menu in its own right launching titbits of taste explosions to excite your palate. From delicious savoury pastries to full flavoured cheeses with honey, scrambled egg with delicately braised liver as examples.
They serve perfectly cooked pasta and the fillet steak melts in the mouth. A great waste of a day!

Tucked away high up in the medieval town centre is the attractive Farfense Restaurant with its vaulted ceilings and cosy atmosphere
The large wine cellar compliments their menu and there is a large range of antipasto, pasta and grilled meats. Try the maialino (baby pork) which is just so tender and soft!
There is also a pizza menu which we have yet to try but again the prices are reasonable.
A good place to dine if there is a large group of you as there is plenty of space!
Take a stroll round Santa Vittoria before or after dinner. It really is worth exploring.

Their choice of fresh pasta meals is also a difficult decision. They all sound
so tasty. Try the smokey speck and gorgonzola raviolli if its available.
